Couple Born Minutes Apart in Same Hospital to Be Married
Steve Smith and Amy Singley, born minutes apart at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania, are getting married next week.
Sometimes, you find the love of your life next door. But Steve Smith and Amy Singley didn’t even need to look that far.
Steve and Amy were born in the same hospital, on the same day. Their mothers even shared a room at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fountain Hill, Pennsylvania. But the two families had no idea that 23 years later, the birthday-sharing babies would celebrate another major event together: a wedding.
As children, Steve and Amy knew each other through church, and were aware that they shared the same birthday. But their casual friendship turned into something more when the pair were sophomores in high school, after Steve asked Amy out to the movies.
“I knew he was the right guy for me after our second date,” Amy told the Express Times.
The couple stayed together all through high school, and attended the same college so that they wouldn’t need to separate. Now that they’ve both graduated and are working, they’re ready to begin the next chapter of their lives together with a wedding on June 12th.
“Everybody says we were destined to be together,” said Amy.
