When was the last time you went to a zoo? It’s probably been a while. When we don’t have kids to use as an excuse to visit the animals and fill up on Fudgesicles, most of us don’t manage to stop by our local zoo too often –and that’s a shame.

If you’re having a bad day, nothing can cheer you up faster than a visit to the orangutan exhibit, where monkeys swing from trees and wolf down bananas with unabashed joy. Stop by the aquarium, and you’ll stand frozen in awe at the otherworldly sight of translucent jellyfish and seahorses –and of course, you can’t pass up a visit to everyone’s favorite mammal of the deep, the dolphin.
